Yes, your data is secure. Security and data protection is of the highest importance to OPAL. Protecting and respecting your privacy rights is our duty under the Singapore Data Privacy Act (DPA). Our platform has the best-in-class security practices to comply with the technology risk management guidelines by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS).
We implement the highest digital security encryption and access protocols. We also comply with the personal data protection regulations in Singapore. We do not sell any data (e.g. passport and/or ID, email addresses, etc) to third parties. However, we may share it for regulatory purposes such as identity verification. All data transferred between our servers is fully encrypted using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) security standard. Data stored in our platform is encrypted at rest. Personal data is additionally encrypted so that in any unforeseen circumstances when data is stolen, it cannot be directly used or linked to other data of the account.
Access is strictly restricted. Our platform is protected with a user PIN that should be known only to yourself. Transactions also require 2-Factor Authentication (2FA) with a One Time Password (OTP) that will be sent to your email or phone.
